Amanda and Mike both went to Somerville High school together. They were 2 years apart, Mike being older. You would think it all started there, but it didn't. Mike played soccer and basketball all 4 years of high school and Amanda was one of the Trainers. She would tape hurt players and give them water all 4 years of high school. Can you believe that they never crossed paths? Mike's second home was at his neighbors house. He was friends with all 3 children. Amanda was friends with the daughter and went there from time to time. They look back on it now and don't ever remember meeting each other. Isn't it crazy how many opportunities they had to interact and never did?
After high school they both went to work for Expo Design Center in Bridgewater, NJ. Not knowing each other, they finally crossed paths through working there and finding out they are friends with a lot of the same people. Amanda and Mike didn't understand how they never met. They grew closer and closer as friends over the 3 years they worked there. They grew so close that they considered each other their best friend. They would talk for hours on the phone and confide in one another about secrets they never told anyone before. You would think by now in their friendship that they would realize they felt more than just friendship, but not yet. Mike was in a relationship.
Once Mike's relationship ended he started to visit Amanda at work. She was a waitress at,"The Office" in Bound Brook, NJ. He would grab a table, a beer and wait until Amanda could talk to him. Sometimes he would stay there for more than an hour. Amanda never looked at Mike more than a friend until one night. They both went to the shore for a friends birthday celebration. The whole group of friends decided to take a walk on the beach after celebrating all night. Some how Amanda and Mike found themselves walking the wrong way, away from the group. Figuring they would find their way back to their friends, they kept walking. Four hours later Amanda and mike were still on the beach cuddling together, talking and looking at the stars. That was the turning point in their relationship.
They found their soulmate and had no idea all those years. It just all came together and they have been together since. 9 years later, like every couple, they had their ups and downs, but they never let it come between them. The downs just made them stronger and better to each other. They can not wait to marry their Best Friend! |
